You want how much for this stamp?
Time and time again I encounter this. Stamp sellers are hoping to make a million dollars on one little stamp. The stamp seen below, Persia, Scott #52, mint hinged is suspect...
The first thing that any 'stamper' will tell you is that this stamp rings a bell. Where is the postmark? Any stamp from the late 1800's to early 1900's without a postmark should make you think. The cat value of this stamp, if it were valid would be $1,500.00++. Problem is, its a total fake. I have written an article depicting the points to check for these indicators.

The red arrows will identify the fake check points. Starting at the top right:
1. Solid inner column line=fake.
2. Solid green circle=see#3
3. If this color is the same color as number 2=fake stamp.
And last but not least-no postmark=fake stamp.
Enjoy stamps, but dont spend $650.00, asking price of this stamp without knowledge..
